The North Carolina Fossil Festival celebrates the Aurora Fossil Museum and the rich fossil record of the Aurora, NC, area. Join us for a family-friendly event steeped in tradition and good old-fashioned southern charm.

Activities include digging for fossils, fossil displays, silent & live auction, displays by partner nonprofit organizations, movie night, parade, live entertainment, food & craft vendors, Saturday night glow party, Dinosaur show, and much, much more!

Great festival! Parking is easy and convenient. Vendor prices are reasonable. The parade is a lot of fun. The lecture series is interesting. There are several Fossil pits available for digging. The museum is well-done. Overall the festival is a great family experience!
